Hello! This weekend was packed with fun and family and FOOD. I don’t even remember it all, but I’ll try to do a recap of the best parts.
First, I sported my favorite new maxi-dress and my favorite new lipstick for a lil dinner out action.

Saturday morning was all about running. I got in an easy 12 miler. I’m kinda considering this a step-back week in long run land because I did the surf City Marathon and then palm Springs half Marathon the previous 2 weekends.

And I had a great plan for the amazing bread I bought!
I cut out a big hole in the middle. Ate it.
Then, filled it up with a Spinach Jalapeno dip I got from Costco. Bolo to úžasné. all of it – the bread and the dip.
And because it was my mom’s birthday we let her decide the menu for dinner. She picked salmon, sweet potatoes and salad. That is my 2nd favorite dinner in the world too! (Pizza is #1)
Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of the amazing finished product because I was cooking and serving and all that jazz so she could delight in the evening.
I also made the cake – it was from a Caramel Apple mix that I fancied up by laying two cakes and putting a caramel apple filling in the middle.

And I know SoCal is very awesome weather-wise but it is unseasonably warm here best now (at least for us) and we were able to eat outside. milujem to.
This morning Ben and I took a walk to get iced coffee. We were making this a tradition a while back and it was good to get back to it.
The place we go to has some strong iced coffee!
Breakfast with some protein when we got back.
And now I’m trying to get ahead of some work that’s coming this week because I’m traveling tomorrow. I think that calls for a treat!
